Thank You Card

Hello again friends!  Tomorrow is New Years Eve ... WOW!  Is it just me, or has this year just flown by in a blink of an eye?  Christmas was almost a week ago?  Hmmmmm .... feels like just yesterday we were feeling the anticipation of Christmas arriving.  sigh. LOL!

Anyway, here is a card that I've made for Just Magnolia Week 38.  For the longest time, I kept trying to pick out my papers for the front of this card.  I had "color block" or something, because I just couldn't match anything together.  LOL.  So, I remembered my long forgotten stash of vellum and decided, "Hey!  Maybe this will work!"  So I just tore it up and distressed the edges of it to my liking and voila!  Easy matching of papers!  I think?!  LOL!

Well, I do hope you all have a WONDERFUL New Years Eve and may you all have an AWESOME 2010!!!!

Party Time Celebration Card

Hi friends!  Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas and enjoyed every single minute of it!  I had an awesome time watching my son open up his gifts and going gaga over every single one of them!  :)  Don't you love it when their little faces light up and their giggles fill the air?!  He must have said, "Wooooowwww!"  a gazillion times, and each time, it made me happy!

Yippeeeee!

Okay, I must say, that when I checked  Belles n' Whistles blog on Christmas Day, I did NOT expect to see my name on the winners list!  In fact, I had almost missed it!!!!  I went to enter into their daily giveaway, and didn't even check the sidebar to see the winner.  But, then I remembered as I was leaving the computer, "Hey, check who the winner is!"  And what an AWESOME Christmas gift this was for me seeing my name on the sidebar!!!!!  OMG!  I nearly flipped off my seat, and I had to make sure it was ME, and not some other "Elise".  LOL!

I have to say, I am totally stoked and ecstatic still thinking about it!  I am a stay at home mom, so I don't ask for anything for Christmas (being able to stay with my son is a gift all year long), this giveaway win was ...  AWESOME for me!!!! 

Thank you so much to everyone at Belles n' Whistles, Summer, and the adored Elisabeth Bell for this BEAUTIFUL Christmas surprise!  I totally totally LOVE it!  I haven't recieved it yet, LOL, but I know I love it already!!!!  You truly added extra excitement to my day! 

I can't wait to add to my collection of Belles n' Whistles stamps!  This will be my very first from them, and they all look super duper beautiful!  My inkpads keep screaming at me everyday, "Get more Belles n' Whistles stamps!  Get more!  Get more!"  LOL!  Well, a girl has got to listen to her inkpads, so .... I gotta get more!  :)  I hope you'll check them out too ... mmmmmmm .... you'll think they're all YUMMY like I do!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 25

Well, it's Christmas Eve day ... Oh my gosh!  Can't believe another Christmas is here!  All the gifts are ready under the tree, the milk and cookies are waiting to be put out by my son tonight (he's not really buying the idea that Santa wants milk and cookies  LOL!), the excitement is truly here!

I just finished my card for Lillians beautiful sketch at the Sugar Bowl Challenge 25.  It said to include your favorite color ... that one was a little tough.  I have so many favorite colors, it's so hard to just pick ONE.  LOL!  But, I think it's because I'm an Earth sign, my tendencies pull toward Earthy tones.  So, browns  and rusty oranges would be a couple of my favorites.

Couple of Cards

Here's a couple of cards that I made ... the easel Magnolia I made a couple of weeks ago (and I gave it to my sweet neighbor tonight), and the Whiff of Joy I made for my dad's upcoming birthday.

I know cards made for guys are a bit tough to do ... I used to do the rough and tumble thing like tear and rip and stamp with other designs or use vintage pictures LOL, but I've just gotten into Elisabeth Bell's, Magnolia's, etc stamps from September 2009, and I'm just so in love with all of them! 

My hubby laughed that I put flowers on my dad's card ... but I can't HELP it!  I LOVE the flowers!  And hey ... who's to say guys don't appreciate flowers anyway?!  LOL!  In fact, when I first met my hubby, he loved it when I bought him flowers along with a hardcore manly gift!  Hmmmmm ... or did he REALLY love it?!  Now I have to question him about it .... LOL!

Roses On Paper Challenge 27

Christmas is straight ahead now ... OMG ... are you all ready?!  I can't believe how quickly the holidays have come around again.  When you're a child, it takes FOREVER for Christmas to arrive, but when you get older ... hmmmm... Christmas just seemed like last month!  LOL!

Anyhow, this entry is for the Roses on Paper Challenge 27.  We were asked to make a Christmas card, gift tag, box or bag using the colors cranberry, hunter green and/or gold.  How yummy is that?!  And all the things made by the DT's were so inspiring!!!  So, I decided to make a gift tag with a Magnolia stamp and here it is:

Hello!  I have such exciting wonderful news!  The easel card that I just made has gotten published on the In2Stamps Inspiration Blog!!!  OMG!  How cool is that?!  I'm still in total shock!  lol!

For my card, I had used the Winter Collection '09 Toy Store Stamp found here.

Their stamps are really awesome and you have to check it out at In2Stamps!!!  They just released a Birthday collection, and my ink pads are screaming for them.  LOL!  And you have to check out the work by all of the In2Stamps DT's!!!   They are all soooo awesomely inspiring! 

Thank you so much Wendy and Bruno again for publishing me on your lovely lovely blog!  It's such an honor to be a part of all the beautiful creations on In2Stamps!!!  This is like an early Christmas gift!!!

Easel Card

This is my first easel card attempt, and I must say that I've enjoyed it!  I used an In2Stamps image and added glitter glue on certain areas of the image.

Does this image trigger some childhood memories?  If it does, I'd love to hear about it!  For me, it makes me think of me shopping with my sisters (minus the snow) ... LOL.  I'm the youngest of the siblings, and they'd take me everywhere with them.  My brother couldn't be bothered with shopping .. LOL!
