Finally Finished!

Hello friends!  Okay, I know sometime last week, I did a post where I said I would post pictures of one of my cards when it was completed .. and I said "Give me a couple of days".  Yea, more like a week ... LOL!  I finally finished it the other day, thank goodness!  And here it is:

And then, the last card I did with Anya on it, I kind of added a little more to her on the front.  Just a little wee bit and moved my sentiment over.  You know how sometimes you look at a card after a day or two, and you're like, "Hmmmm, it's just not right somehow."  Well, I do that A LOT!  LOL!  So, it's a very minor update to this card, but made me a little more comfy with it:

Remember, Miracles Do Happen

Hi Friends!  The other day I read that Whiff of Joy was having a Guest Designer Call on Katharina's Blog!  Okay, this is a super long shot for me, but being that I totally Love Whiff of Joy, I wanted to give it a whirl!  What girl wouldn't be giddy with joy being a Guest Desinger for Whiff of Joy?!!!  That would be like a Birthday Gift every day!  :)

I made an easel card following Katharina's beautiful sketch and this is what I came up with:

And doing this post, I realized that this card's sentiment is perfect for this!  "Remember, Miracles Do Happen".  LOL ... yep, it would truly be a Miracle if I would be lucky enough to be a GD for Whiff of Joy!

Roses on Paper Challenge 29 Winter Card

Hey Friends!  I've made this card for Roses On Paper Challenge 29 ... Brrrrr!  She asked for a Winter card, being that they have to buy the snow by the truckloads in Hawaii!  I too wish that Vegas would snow more often. 

It's only on rare occassions that we get snow down at our house, and I LOVE it when it snows .... so pretty and it seems like the entire sky glows (from all the Casino lights on the strip I guess?)  Not sure why!  :)

Thank You Mom and Dad

Every year, my parents send me the most beautiful sentimental Birthday cards in the mail.  And every year their cards never fail to bring tears to my eyes.  And it's not just what comes pre-written in the card, but also what is written by them in the card. 

But would you like to hear something really funny?  It's my DAD who goes out to buy the cards!  LOL!  Usually it's the MOM's who goes out and picks the sweet ones, but for me ... it's my one and only DAD.  :)  I mean, I know it comes from BOTH of their hearts ... but I have to laugh when I think about my Dad in the Hallmark aisle browsing through cards and finding just the PERFECT one.  :)

Well, this is a card I've entered into Whiff of Joy Challenge using Jane's lovely sketch.  Thank you Jane for this sketch, and this card will go out in the mail to my one and only mom and dad.  :)

It's All About You Today!!!

Hey Sweet Friends!  Okay, "birthday" must have been in my sub-conscious when I started making this card last night, because TODAY is my b-day!  OMG ... I guess when you get older, you even forget your own birthday!  LOL!  I was reminded over and over again by loved ones sending their sweet wishes and a couple of my friends called yesterday to tell me they will be coming over to celebrate with me! 

Apparently, they told my hubby about this a couple of weeks ago, and was going to surprise me, but when yesterday came, they know I don't like surprises ... LOL ... so they called to let me know.  LOL!  (Well, I like surprises ... but I like to know when people are coming over so I can pick up all the toys and make the house a little more decent!)  LOL!

Anyhow, I've enjoyed making this card for the challenges listed below:

Shopping Cures All Ailments for Club Anya and Friends

Hi Friends!  Club Anya and Friends is holding their weekly Monday Mania, and this week, they're asking for a masking card.  Okay, I've never ever done masking before, and was so scared to do it, but I was like, "What's the worse case scenario?  Just throw away the paper that you messed up!"  LOL! 

And they were asking to mask an Anya and Ian stamp because they make such a lovely couple ... and they most certainly do ... but I have NO Ian stamps!  Okay ... what's up with that?  I have to get with the program here.  LOL!

But further in the post, they said we could use 2 Anya's or whichever qualifying stamps if we didn't have an Ian.  Whew!  Thank Goodness .. cause I really wanted to play!  :)

So here is my card.  I used 2 Anya's and they're going SHOPPING!!!  Yayyy!  (Shopping for craft items!)  Super Yayyy!  LOL!

Roses on Paper Challenge 28

Hi Friends!  I've made a card to enter into the Roses on Paper Challenge 28, which is to use your favorite medium.  For me, there's only one type of medium I know how to use ... LOL ... and it's Prismacolor Pencils.  I've tried other mediums, but ended up with a complete mess, so pencils it is!!!  And I must say, I do really enjoy using the pencils a lot!  :)
