Daydreaming of You ...

Hey Ya's!  Are you all having a wonderful week?  I hope you are!

I have to share with you a little story about my lovebug Bodhi which happened this past weekend.  :)

There is a new Lego Store that opened up in town and I wanted to surprise him and take him there.  So I told him to get ready so we could go out.  

Bodhi says,"Where to?"

I said, "Michaels Craft Store."

Bodhi says, "Again?!!!!  We were just there yesterday?!"  ahahahahah - typical male response right?!!  ;)

I said, "I forgot something."

Bodhi says, "Okay."  ;) .. that's my boy!  ;)

Soooo .. we're driving .. and he doesn't even realize that I'm not even driving to Michaels .. LOL!  I arrive at the mall and he STILL does not think anything is different.  He just asks, "Have I ever been here before Mommy?"  I said, "Nope."

I had NO idea where the store was and although I tried to follow the directory .. it was basically useless to me and confused me even further.  hehe.  But all of a sudden, Bodhi saw an advertisement in the middle of the walkway saying, "The Lego Store is NOW OPEN" .. and this was his reaction ..

GASP!!!  **eyes HUGE and arms wrapped around me**  "Mommmmmmmy!  Did you know the Lego Store is here?!  You tricked me!!  Did you know you were taking me here?!  Oooh Mommmmmy!  You came here for me?!"

BUT!  The best part about it was .. his face.  :)  It lit up like it was Christmas Morning .. and his face got SOOOOO red with excitement .. it almost brought tears to my eyes because my heart felt so happy.  ;)  So after about 20 minutes .. we finally found the store!  lol!  And let me tell you .. I enjoyed it just as much as Bodhi did!  ;)

Anyway ... hehe .. I've made a card using one of LOTV's newest SWEET Fairies and this one is called "Catkins".  I've draped the rosebuds downward in hopes that it will resemble the flowers in the image.

The gorgeous lace is from a dear friend .. thank you so much I LOVE it!  :)

Hope you all got to spoil yourselves with these gorgeous fairies .. you KNOW you deserve it!  ;)

Wonderful News!!!

Hey Ya's!  It's the start of a new week and I've some really wonderful news to share with you!

A couple months ago, an extremely kind & talented girl Evgenia Petzer asked if I would be able to be a Guest over at Scrap Lifting.  WoWwW!  I was truly HONOURED and how could I resist?!  I of course said "YES!"  I can't stress to you how their work is absolutely AMAZING!!!!  I so looooove their shabby chic styles!

For this new challenge, the card to be "scrap lifted" is this card that I made about a year ago:

Capture Life's Moments ...

Hey Ya's!  It's the beginning of another weekend yet again .. time sure is flying yes?

My little Bodhi will be out of school again in a couple of weeks .. Summer vacation is around the corner yet again .. wow!  I can't believe it!

Well, I mentioned that I've fallen in love with making mixed media canvases .. and I couldn't wait to do my second.  It measures 9 x 12 inches .. so lots of happy space to play with!  The photo is removable once again and I've used some lovely lace and papers from a dear friend of mine .. thank you so much!!!

I got the vintage image from Pinterest, which I believe is from Janet K Designs.  :)

Hope I'll have another one to show you soon!  ;)

Sweet Fairy Wishes ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you are all starting off to a wonderful week so far!

As most of you know, Lili of the Valley's 10th Birthday was celebrated on May 10th in their UK shop .. and I've heard what a blast it was!  Truly wish I could have been there too but luckily, I got to see a lot of beautiful photo's taken throughout the day of their wonderful celebration!  Happy Birthday LOTV!!!!!!  Wishing you another FABULOUS year and many many more years of success!!!

This was a "secret" card that I sent into the shop for their Birthday Party  .. as they had a guessing game in the shop for the customers!  ;)  I used one of the older fairies called "On Tiptoe", and coloured her using Distress Reinkers and Watercolors.  I've outlined her just once with my white pen.

The tree branch is from a stencil and I used modeling paste for this .. but as you can see .. I totally messed it up and it smeared in a lot of places.  What in the world right?!!!!  hahahaha!  

At first, I didn't include the flowers and birds .. until my hubby said .. "Oh yea!  The clouds look nice!"  I was like, "Clouds?!  What clouds?!!!!!!!!  It's a TREE BRANCH!"  hahahahhaha!!!  So, that's when I realized that I had to add flowers and birds to make it look "somewhat" like a tree branch!  ;)  hehe!

Believe ...

Hey Ya's!  I hope you're having a beautiful week so far!

Well .. I've finally made my first mixed media canvas!!!  Oh my gosh!  I bought a whole bunch of blank white canvases a couple of months ago .. and it has been sitting in my room .. waiting ever so patiently! 

My inspiration comes from an AMAZING artist by the name of Gabrielle Pollacco .. truly inspiring work!  I can see myself delving into these mixed medias as it's such a big space to let your happiness wander into.  :)

I've made it so the cherub image (got this image from Janet K Designs) can be removed and replaced with a personal photo: 

This canvas is 9 X 12 inches long and wow .. lemme tell you .. it was fun!

I've gotten to use some yummy goodies from the Ribbon Girl store such as:

Prima Cherub, Cheesecloth, Seam Binding, Prima Birdhouse, Bird Charm, Pearl/Diamante trim, Alice White Flower Lace Trim, Amelia Lace

And I've also used some lace from a very dear friend which she gave me for my Birthday  .. thank you I so love it and I'm trying my best not to hoard it.  hehe!!

I'll Meet You at the Moon ...

Hello there!!!!!  A huge Happy Mother's Day to all you sweet ladies .. I wish you all a most BEAUTIFUL day full of pampering!!!  :)

*Toward the end of my post .. I'll answer a question that some of you have asked me*

Today is a new Lovely Lili's Challenge over at the Ribbon Girl .. and it's soooo easy ... "Add Pearls"!  Who doesn't love some pearls right?!  :)

I've made a card with one of LOTV's newest GORGEOUS Fairy Release .. this one is called "Midsummer's Night" .. I loooooooove this cutie!  And I've made a little tag with words (and LOTV stamp corners) from a pretty song "Meet You at the Moon" by Imelda May.  Have you ever heard it?  Makes me think of being in an old fashioned smokey lounge, where everyone is dressed in such pretty attire with love in their eyes.  :)  hehe.

So, on my card, I have the pleasure of using such lovely goodies from the beautiful Ribbon Girl Store such as:  Ivory Pearl Flower Trim, Seam Binding, Vintage Printed Pink Rose Hessian Ribbon, Pink Velvet Lace, Cheesecloth, Cream Zig Zag Cotton Lace

Okay, some of you have asked what and how I did my white outlining on my images .. and it's very easy and fun!!!  Here's the Sakura white gel pen I use:

I've been trying this for over a month now .. and before, I'd only outline it ONCE.  The black lines soften.  But then I started outlining it TWICE for a much heavier white line.   Yes, it seems tedious to outline everything .. but honestly .. it's quite fun and the time flies quickly.

Lili of the Valley Blog Hop! Happy 10th Birthday LOTV!

It's the Little Moments ...
