Guest DT card for Digital Delights!

Hey Friends!  The other week I was very tickled pink and honored to have been chosen by the Delightful Sketches team to be a Guest DT on Digital Delights by Louby Loo!  For my Guest DT card, I've used one of their digital images, and I chose Lara Ladybug.  Isn't she just so darn cute?!  Who can resist this little cutie patootie?!  I put stickles on her spots to give her a little blingity bling.  :)

Here is my card and don't forget to play along at Delightful Sketches!  They have a wonderful group of sweet ladies with tons of talent!

Summer's Challenge!!!!

Alright!  I must say that Summer from Belles n Whistles Stamps has put out a very very fun and interesting challenge, which cannot be refused! Belles 'n Whistles is coming out with a new release soon, and Summer is TEASING all of us with little itty bitty tidbits of the new stamps!  lol!  So, she's giving away such a generous prize to 2 lucky people!!  The challenge is to take a picture of where your Belles 'n Whistles stamp resides.  :)  I love it!

Okay, for me, I live in Las Vegas Nevada.  I thought it would be such a cool idea to take a pic at night with my stamp against the Las Vegas strip lights.  I still think it's a cool idea!  I live quite aways from the strip, so I'd just probably go up the road and from here, I can see almost the entire strip.  BUT!  Knowing Las Vegas people and the crazy drivers they are, I don't want to be parked on the side of the road and some Looney bin runs me over!  lol!

Soooo, I opted for a much safer approach.  lol!!!  I took a pic of my lovely "Beary Big Hugs" in my own backyard.  We have 2 blossoming plum trees in the back, and I love when spring is nearing because they put out such pretty flowers that remind me of Japanese Cherry Blossoms.

Now, I don't know if my neighbors in the back of our home was watching me or not, but if they were, ... they were probably saying, "What the HECK is she doing?!"  lol.  And, while I was taking the pictures, the poor little birds were screaming at me, "Hurry up so we can go back to our tree!"  AND, on top of wondering what my neighbors must think, and the birds chirping at me, I had BUZZING BEES somewhere in there with their constant, "hummmmm".  LOL!!!  I must say, I totally loved this challenge!  :)  Something new and different!

Alright, there's my story  (lol) , and here's the pics of my cutie pie with our blossoming plum tree:

Can you see her?

Just a little closer:

THERE'S my cutie pie!

Thank you so much Summer for this truly delightful challenge!  I sooo enjoyed this!  :)

And for everyone else, head on over to Belles 'n Whistles and give it a whirl!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lucky To Have You

*Update March 7:  I was the random winner for Paper Sundaes!  Thank you so much girls for totally making my day!  I so appreciate this!*

Hey Friends!  Hope you're all having a great week!  My week has been pretty good, and the other night I came across something that really hit home big time.  While I do my crafting, I play my Yahoo music video playlist most of the time.  And I found this video by Colbie Caillat ... I really think I like her music now!  Well, this video I found is called "The Little Things".

It takes place on the island of Kauai, and although I am originally from the Big Island, the scenery in the video reminded me of back home.  Exactly like home.  Oh how my heart just ached.  But it was not just the scenery that did something to me.  It was the things she did in the video that made me reminisce of me growing up back home.

Having a cookout in the backyard with the wooden fence with tons of friends and family, and everyone is just yippity yapping and using their fingers to eat!  LOL!  But most of all ... the times where she is with her girlfriends having fun swimming.  Oh gosh.  To do all of those things again without a care in the world again.  Our beaches in Hilo were not sandy at all.  It was ROCK.  lol.  So, I'd take off my slippers and walk barefoot along the jagged rocks.  (You're less likely to slip and fall if you're barefoot).  And I guess because I was so used to walking barefoot on jagged rocks, my feet never hurt.  And when you sunbathed, you'd have to find the SMOOTHEST rock you could find to lay on.  lol!!!

Anyway, thought I'd share that with you, and therefore, this card that I'm entering into the following challenges is what I'd look like if I ever got to go home to visit.  I'd be so happy to embrace and hold my loved ones and friends one by one so close in a tight hug!!!

Here are the challenges I'm entering:

1. Paper Sundaes :  Sketch
2.  Pile It On :  Lucky Me
3.  Rosie D's :  Friendship
4.  Simon Says Stamp :  Mother's Day/Girly
5.  Creative Inspirations :  Lace, Pins, & Pearls

The Fun Stuff:

Thank you for visiting me and bearing with my long post!  lol!  Have a great crafting day!

Let's Party!

Hi Friends!  Well, it seems as if the anticipation of Alice in Wonderland is building to a climax!  I myself, LOVE Alice in Wonderland and I'm pretty excited about this new movie!  Therefore, I just had to purchase a digi stamp with a sexy Alice, and this was the first digi I've colored.  Must say ... I enjoyed it!!  I was worried about the ink smearing .. but .. it's all GOOD!  No smearing what so ever!

Well, I decided to make a different style card than most of my others, so I made an easel card.  LOL!!!!  Okay, I'm addicted to easel cards ... I can't help it!!  ANYWAY, I'm entering the following card into 3 challenges listed below, but first, here's my card:

I know the background papers look more green, but in person, it's actually more bluish with hints of green on the edges.  And these are a couple of the papers that I have in my blog candy up for grabs.

Here's the 3 Challenges I'm entering this into:

1.  Friday Sketchers :  sketch
2.  Simon Says Stamp :  vintage with flowers
3.  Cute Card Thursday :  ribbon - tastic

The Fun Stuff:
