Togetherness

Hey Friends!  This is one of the scheduled posts I'm doing prior to surgery and a card that I have ready for you.  This week at Belles 'n Whistles, our sweet and talented Jodi is giving us the wonderful challenge of "Anything to Celebrate Spring" .. whether it be colors, embellishments .. etc.  How easy and fun is that?!

I love the coming of Spring ... signifies starting fresh, newness, birth .. all wonderful things!!!  And this is a perfect theme for me don't ya think?  ;)

For this card, I used pastel colors and lots of flowers to celebrate Spring.  I also used this beautiful image Baking with Nana.  I love this image, as it's so versatile to use ALL year round!

See You in a While Crocodile!

Hi Friends!  Just wanted to drop a few lines ... I'll be heading into surgery March 9th, Wednesday.  Whew .. can you believe surgery time is here already?!  Gosh!!  I don't know what I feel .. lots of emotions going on in my head, but anxious to get it all done and over with.  ;)  Sometimes the reality of breast cancer just hits me like a load of bricks but sigh ... I REFUSE to let cancer stay or come back into my life!!!  My little 4 year old boy told me that God will "crash" my cancer and he will "lock it up forever."  ;)  Aren't children so pure and true and have a way with words to make you smile?

I'll be scheduling a few posts here on my blog for the next few weeks ... so that you won't forget me. LOL!  I don't know how long it will take for me to recover from surgery, but I guaranty that the moment I am well enough to hop on a computer .. I sure will!!!!  hehe!

In the meantime .. keep smiling sisters!!!  And I can't wait to come back to blogland to see all of your incredible creations!!!  See you in a while crocodile!!!  :)  hehe!

Hangin' Out

Hello!!!  Hope you're all having a great week thus far!  I've been happily enjoying my days playing with as many stamps as I can before my surgery.  This little cutie here was given to me by another dear friend for my Birthday in January!  Thank you sooOooo much Sweet Friend!  ;)

Funny story .. I really really wanted to buy this stamp and every store that I looked in .. was SOLD OUT!!!  I thought, "Ehhhh, well ... it's not meant to be."  And then within a few days .. here was this little cutie in my mailbox!!!  Ahhh!  It was destiny!  lol!!

I masked her on the rose trellis from the Magnolia Wedding Collection which I've been waiting to use for like uhhhh about 7 months now?  LOL!  .. and this was perfect for her!

Celebrate With Me

Hello Friends!  Well, it's another fun challenge at Belles 'n Whistles!  This time, the super talented and sweet Vicki gave us the challenge of using things we LOVE, but you must use a heart somewhere on your creation!  Ohhhh how FUN and EASY is that?!  lol!

Soooo, I went ahead and used flowers, pearls, glitter, sewing, ribbon, button .. the typical things that I love love love .. and most of all I love my Belles 'n Whistles stamps!!  I placed a little "Made With Love" heart charm by my flowers.  :)  I can just picture this little cutie singing with delight "Woooohhooo" as she sleds down the hill!  LOL!

Vintage Christmas

Hello Friends!  Just a quick post ... I wanted to share with you my first Stempelglede card I've made ever!  My dear sweet friend Christina sent me a "Vintage Christmas" set from Stempelglede, and my oh my .. I had FUN doing this!  Thank you SO much Christina!!!  This was very very interesting for me, and she may have opened up a whole new addiction for me .. LOL!!!  Hope you like it as much as I do!  ;)

Sweet Friendship

Hello Friends!  Hope you're all having a wonderful week so far!  I have some great news to share with you .. I finished my last chemo treatment on Feb. 1st!!!  Yayyy!  This last one was pretty tough, it kept getting rougher each time.  But hip hip hooray .. if everything goes well .. it's my LAST one!!! 

In the meantime, I've been trying to work on things here and there before each treatment when I had my "good" days.  I finally finished a card tonight for a dear childhood friend of mine.
