Time to Play

Hello there!  How are you all doing?  Hope you're enjoying your Summer and staying cool wherever you are.  I've been having lots of fun time with my little one .. going out and about or just even hanging out together doing activities, playing or watching movies at home.  :)  Luvin' it!  And now, I keep him up till a lot later hours since it's Summer and we watch toons together .. I LOVE cartoons and Disney movies!  lol!

Anyway, it's time for another new challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies and this week it is, "Time to Play".  I used "Summer Days" .. how appropriate right?!  hehe!  I love these little cuties, they look like they're so enjoying themselves just being together.

Hello there!  Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  I wanted to thank all of you for your support in my last post .. hahah .. I don't feel so alone and I feel better knowing that loads of Mom's feel the same way I do.  :)  Thank you!

Well, I got to play with a Tilda that I knew I had to have.  Before moving to Vegas after college, I was born and raised in Hawaii (which most of my family are still there) .. and funny how colouring and making a card with this Tilda brought back so many fond memories.

I grew up in the little town of Hilo and every year the Merrie Monarch Festival takes place there.  It is a Hula Competition from hula troops around the world.  It's a huge event that lasts for about a week and it's FABULOUS!!!  I remember as a little girl watching it every single year and getting so excited when I'd see my friends dancing on stage.  Beautiful!!

The costumes, the singing, the stories behind the music .. it still lives in my heart and always will.

My Little LoveBug

Hi there!  Hope you're all having a great week!  As for me .. not so much .. and I'll tell you in a short bit.  *Beware .. this is a LONG post*  haha!!  First let me tell you about our new Lili's Little Fairies Challenge going on this week .. "One for the Boys".  It's perfect for me this week .. it's fitting as you will see with my story that follows.

For this, I've made a Ticket Box with the image "Land Ahoy" colored with my Prisma Pencils & OMS.  It is Summer Break for my little one now, and this ticket box is for him to hold his tickets in.  I'll still be working on school activities with him throughout the Summer, and whenever he completes a worksheet ... he earns a star.  For every 5 stars .. he earns a ticket.  Those tickets will earn him treats ... a day at the ice cream parlor with me, a small little toy, maybe a little candy treat .. you get the idea.  Now he's excited and anxious to do activities with me.  :)

So let me share something with you.  My little one just finished an amazing year of Kindergarten on Tuesday and I had no idea how much my heart would feel broken.  Never would have expected my heart to HURT this much.  Is this normal?!!!  My Aunty assures me it's not normal.  LOL!

On Monday, both Kindergarten classes held a Chapel performance for us which I was prepared to look like an idiot since I knew I was going to cry (which of course I forgot to bring my own stash of tissues).  The crying must be a common thing since there were older children at the door of the Chapel handing out tissue wipes as we entered to get ready.  LOL!!!!  My hubby laughed when they gave him the ONE tissue wipe and he said, "hahaha!  Tissue wipe?!"  Welllllll .... yea .... they knew what they were doing cause we definitely needed it!  LOL!!!

As I watched my little boy walk in with his classmates and saw his little hand waving at us .. I felt so honored to be his Mom.  I was in the very front row (luckily a friend saved us a spot with them .. I am so grateful to them!) so we didn't miss a single blinking eyelash.  :)

Throughout their performance I smiled and rejoiced with them and thought, "Hey!  This is not so bad!  I'm not crying!"  And JUST when I had that cocky thought .. they sang their next song with their little hand motions:

"When you find my little finger prints all over your bedroom walls

 And when you want to YELL a bit cause they're even in the halls

 Well I know it's hard to believe, that you were once a kid like me

And one day I'm gonna grow up so remember me when I'm small

 I get in the way a lot of the times though I'm only 3 ft tall

 I make you forget what's on your mind, you trip over my toys and fall

 I don't know much about hearts and things but I'm glad you've treasured me."

You HAD to see & hear it .. it was ..... touching.

Nowwww ... I was in the front row and I literally had to FORCE myself to look away at some point because my lips were quivering, my makeup was running, and I had to try my darndest not to let my crying start turning into full blown SPEAKER SOBS!!!!  Talk about a MESS I was!  And I had to dig into my purse to get out that ONE Kleenex that the kids gave us as we entered and my hubby says, "I may need that too."

No sireeeeee .. that Kleenex was ALL MINE!  I needed every single millimeter of it and I wasn't going to give it up.  LOL!!!  Remember my hubby laughed when they gave him the tissue at the door?!  Just for that .. he can use his sleeves right?!!!!  LOL!

Well, sigh .. can't believe that my little guy is growing up so fast.  Needless to say .. we're so very very proud of him .. and so blessed to have him be our son.  Now I have to wrap some bandage around my heart and get ready for another school year.  :)  hehe.

Ever So Sweet

Hey Ya's!  Hope you're all doing well and had a great Memorial Day weekend!  We had such a beautiful weekend .. a nice cold chill came through Vegas and we got to enjoy it for a few days!  Love it when it's chilly!

Positively Pampered

Hello there!  Hope you are all enjoying your week!  It's time for another Lili's Little Fairies Challenge, and this week it is "Anything but a Square".  Oh man, I was like, "Whhhhaaaaat?!!!!  NOT a square?!!!  But, but, but .. I only DO squares!"  (You know .. my creative level is still kept in a box .. a square one to be precise).  hahahahah!  No but yea .. seriously, I kinda panicked for a short bit and then I remembered, "Ohhh!  Do the door/wall hanging thing!"  Phew .. breathe in, breathe out .. relax!  LOL!

So here's another clear door/wall hanging that is non-square .. hehe!

Thinking Of You ...

Hi there!  Hope you are all doing well!  Summer is fast approaching .. gosh I can't believe how quick time flies.  My little one will be out of Kingergarten in a couple of weeks .. I have my Kleenex ready.  lol!  I am SO sad that he'll be done with Kindergarten .. it's like he's officially all grown up or something.  Wish he could stay little for a LOT longer.  I keep asking him, "Even when you're 16 years old, will you still cuddle with Mom?"  He said, "Of course Mommy!!!!" .. like I'm asking him such a silly question.  hehe.

But the great thing about the end of the school year means I can HOG my little boy all to myself!!!!!  Well .. okay .. I'll share him with my hubby for a little bit here and there .. but overall .. I get to HOG him!!!  haha!!  :)

Anyways, it's time for my 3rd post at Lili of the Valley Inspiration Blog and this is what I've done.  I haven't done one of these for a long time .. I guess you could call it a card doorhanger?  Hang it wherever you like actually.  :)

I've done this on clear plastic, so I just replicate whatever is on the front, onto the back to hide any glue that would be showing.  :)

Friendship Is ...

Hello there!  It's time for another new Lili's Little Fairies Challenge .. another fun and easy challenge .. "Use Your Favorite Craft Tool"!  Is it your Martha Stewart Punch for the leaves or borders?  Is it your die cutting machine?  Maybe a simple thing like your paper trimmer that you just can't do without?  Or ... it could be like me .. a sewing machine which rarely ever touches a piece of clothing but ALWAYS needs to be used for my crafting!  LOL!
