LOTV Facebook Party!

Hi Ya's!  Hope you're all having a wonderful start to your weekend!  :)

I wanted to remind you that today is LOTV'S Facebook Birthday Party .. so I hope I'll be able to see you there!  And for you lucky ones in the UK .. you get to go to the actual LOTV store!!!  OoOoO you're so lucky!  I would be so tickled to be able to go see the store in person!

Well, for today, I have a card using the darling "Armfuls of Daisies" .. this bunny is such a cutie yes?  :)  Then I've also used beauuuutiful papers from "Perfect Pair" and "Petal Fresh" .. I love them!

Well this week at La La Land Crafts, our theme is "Pastel Colors" .. oooooh how I love it!!  :)  I totally go swooners over pastel colors!  lol!!  So I decided to use this beautiful "Daisy Faerie Marci" and color her with Distress Inks. She's such a doll yes?

Happy Birthday LOTV!!!  For my project, I chose this sweet little "Cake Glorious Cake!" ... she is determined to bring that cake to you!  hehe!  :)  I also used the pretty papers from LOTV'S Bonnets and Bowties!  Wishing LOTV much continued success and sending lots of love!

You can enter the competition using the linky, you can upload your card to Facebook, or if you don’t have either of those you can email a picture of your card to admin@liliofthevalley.co.uk ...it doesn’t matter how you enter, all the cards will go into the prize draw.

The competition closes at 6pm on Saturday the 2nd of March.

The winning card will be drawn at random ...and because it’s our 9th birthday the prize is 9 stamps of your choice worth £40.00!

We will also pick our top 3 from ALL the entries and these cards will be featured on the Ideas to Inspire blog.

Before I show you my card today, Lili of the Valley will be celebrating their 9th Birthday on March 2nd!  Wooohoooo!  Good Times!!!  So let me share with you some info straight from LOTV'S Inspiration Blog which says:

For my card today, I've coloured the lovely LOTV "The Charleston" stamp with Distress Inks .. aren't they just darling dancing away together like that?!  hehe!  This image makes me think of something I'd see in an old black and white movie .. I totally love stuff like that!  :)

Easter Bunny Luka

Hi Ya's!  How are you all doing?  I hope very well!  I'm still enjoying my time with Bodhi on our long weekend.  :)

This week our theme at La La Land Crafts is "About a Boy" and I've chosen to play with one of the sweet new releases "Easter Bunny Luka" coloured with Distress Inks.  He's such a darling isn't he?!  And although it's a boy's card, I just could NOT resist adding flowers .. lol!!!

I also wanted to show you a little note that my 6 year old Love Bug Bodhi wrote for me.  Remember I was saying that Bodhi had a short week of school last week?  On Valentines Day, it was a half day of school for them before their long President's Day weekend.

I jokingly told him the night before Valentines, "I sure hope I'll remember to pick you up from school early!  Gosh, I might forget!"  He giggled and said, "You're kidding right Mommy?"  I said, "Yes honey, I'm just kidding with you."  .. because we were talking about his short week every single day and how excited we were to hang out together.  ;)  But I guess he needed to make certain, so he sneaked a post it note from the cabinet and this is what I found .......

Awwww!  I had to tell him that I'd NEVER forget to pick him up and make SURE that he knew I was only kidding with him!!  ;) Or maybe it's because he sees me writing myself tons of reminder notes all over the place, so he figured I may need another one?  hehe!!  He's my little Sugar Plum.  ;)

The Lasting Kind of Friendship ...

Hi Ya's!  Hope you're all enjoying your week so far!  :)

My little Bodhi has a short week of school again, plus no school on Monday too.  Are you thinking that he sure has a lot of days off from this school all the time?  Yeaaaaaa .. I'm thinking the same thing too.  lol!  Well, I really had wanted to maybe head on over to a movie .. but there's no animated ones in the theaters right now. :(   hmmmmm .. what shall we do?  What shall we do?  *finger tapping on chin*  ;)

Well, I've gotten to play with more DARLING LOTV stamps from the newest release!  This time, I've combined 2 of the images "Springtime Bear" and "Butterfly Meadow".  I wanted to show them enjoying one another's company and so I made this card a wee bit bigger to place them together.  Instead of a normal 6x6 card, this one is 6.5x6.5.  They look like they're having fun together yes?  :)

I've also used beautiful papers from LOTV'S "Perfect Pair".  :)  I love them!

I wanted to show you a close up of one of the corners which I stamped with clear embossing ink and then embossed with transparent powder, because you can't really see it in the top pic.  hehe.  Well .. this little Prima flower corner stamp was sent to me by a sweet overseas friend.  Thank you so much dear!  I LOVE it very much!

Love Is All Around ...

Hi Friends!  Hope you all had a beautiful weekend!

Well over at La La Land Crafts, we're having "Love Is All Around" as our theme.  I love walking into the stores now and seeing all those cute Valentines things .. everything looks all so pretty.  :)  So I bought some Phineas and Ferb pencils and little cards to give to Bodhi's dear little classmates.  I think it'll make them smile.  :)

So on my first La La Land Crafts post, I mentioned I did something different for todays card.  Well, for this one, I don't know if you can see it, but I used all fabric and lace for the background.  Hope it doesn't look too messy?  lol!!!  And I used this most adorable "Cupid Marci" .. she's so sweet ready to make people fall in loOoOve.  hehe!

A Hug is Like a Boomerang ... You Get it Back Right Away

Hi Ya's!!!  Are you shocked to see me again this week?  Well .. you're not alone .. I'm shocked too.  lol!!!  Hope you are all having a beautiful week so far .. and heading off into a fun weekend.  :)

Well, the idea of making a "non-square" card is pretty much non existent in my square box frame of mind.  lol!  So when the ideas of doing something other than a square came into conversation .. a sort of little PANIC filled me.  haha!!  But .. I must say .. I've admired the way all you crafters out there do those shaped cards .. it's appealing! 

The person that came to mind was sweet Debbie .. yup .. you all know her .. the amazing one!  :)  I love the way she does her shaped projects (well actually ALL her projects shaped or not!), and I went straight to her for my inspiration!  Thank you so very much Debbie!

So, here I've used Lili of the Valley's "Kitten Cuddles" .. I love them!!!  So darling this image right?

For You ...

Hi Friends!  I hope you're all well!  :)

I've been trying to get caught up with so many things, and time is just running away from me.  Do you ever feel like there's just not enough time to do everything that you need and want to do?  sigh ...

Tonight I got to spend time with a couple friends of mine (which reminded me to take time to just "breathe"). We normally get together about 3 times a year to just do dinner and some drinks for our birthdays ... strictly just us 3 gals to have our night out alone.  It was lots of fun as always, and we lose ourselves in time.  The restaurant actually turned on the lights to let us know .. "It's time for you to leave."  hahahaha~!!!!!  Yes .. we talked ourselves all the way into closing time.  LOL!!!

So speaking of birthdays .. I made a little basket of spools wrapped with some pretty lace for a dear friend of mine who is celebrating her birthday as well.  :)  I haven't made these baskets for quite some time, and truly enjoyed making this one!

GDT for La La Land Crafts!!!

Hi Ya's!!!  How are you all doing?  I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  :)

Well, I've some VERY exciting news to share with you!!!  I was asked to be a Guest Designer by dear Rosie for La La Land Crafts .. and how could a girl refuse?!!  OH I was over the moon excited to be playing with these darlings, but gotta tell ya .. very very scared indeed! .. Some huge talent going on there and their skills are WOW!  :)  Thank you La La Land Crafts for having me play with you lovely girls .. I'm truly honored!

My very first card with La La Land Crafts is for the theme "Sweet Treats".  With Valentines approaching, can't help but think of all our Sugary Loves in our lives right?  :)  I've used "Sugar 'n Spice Marci" for this challenge coloured with Distress Inks, and I just know she's whipped up my most favorite Red Velvet Cupcake with Cream Cheese.  lol!
