A Little Gift Basket ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you are all doing well!

Has it been cooling down where you live?  We have had beautiful weather the past couple of days ... it's been in the 80's .. but forecast says we'll be back up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit this weekend.  omg .. I'm so ready to get rid of the heat.  lol.

Well, I haven't made this stickpin basket for quite a few years now .. and remembered this while thinking of something to gift a lovely lady.  I bought these little wood baskets from my local craft store Michaels about 5 years ago.  I give it a coat of white paint, then coat it with some clear crackle paint too .. also distress the corners with Tim Holtz distress ink.  Made a little pillow to fit inside the basket .. then embellish away!  :)

Thank you so very much for visiting me and hope to see you again soon!

Wishing you a beautiful day and weekend!

Hugs,
Elise

Your creation is truly beautiful Elise... what a wonderful gift for your friend! Your attention to detail on everything you do amazes me... all those fabulous embellishments and the wonderful colours you put together too.. including those stunning stick-pins - it really is just WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

I do so envy you your Michaels.... when I used to go across to stay with my friend near Albany NY, I used to take an empty suitcase with me so I could fill up from Michaels, JoAnnes, AC Moores......... oooh those were the days... and I bet I still have some of my treasures upstairs!

The weather here is around 60 - 65 ish at the mo... a LOT cooler than you... Autumn (Fall) is here!

Have a good weekend lovely lady..
Big hugs

Woweeeee!!! Stunning little basket. As always, the detail is perfection. Beautiful stickpins. It is very chilly here in the evening and cool enough to bring the central heating on!! The rain came down so hard today, that we all stood at the doors of the supermarket, waiting for it to stop. I am going to a huge craft fair in London tomorrow. So hoping it will stay dry. Have a lovely weekend in the sun!! Not jealous..........much!!! Big hugs, Carol S.xx

Precious and cute beyond words. We don't find stuff like this in our craft stores. But to be honest there's no way I could make it as pretty as you did. Truly stunning!
