A Little Gift Basket ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you are all doing well!

Has it been cooling down where you live?  We have had beautiful weather the past couple of days ... it's been in the 80's .. but forecast says we'll be back up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit this weekend.  omg .. I'm so ready to get rid of the heat.  lol.

Well, I haven't made this stickpin basket for quite a few years now .. and remembered this while thinking of something to gift a lovely lady.  I bought these little wood baskets from my local craft store Michaels about 5 years ago.  I give it a coat of white paint, then coat it with some clear crackle paint too .. also distress the corners with Tim Holtz distress ink.  Made a little pillow to fit inside the basket .. then embellish away!  :)

My Sunshine ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you are all doing very well!

I've been going through my stash and looking through a lot of my "older" stamps that I have .. and I have to say that I love each and every one of them.  They all bring back a lot of different memories .. of different times .. all very sentimental.

So, when I came across this precious image, I immediately knew I wanted to colour her up once again.  I got her when I was with the Belles 'n Whistles DT .. and she is called "Sushine and Apples" .. which sadly is no longer available.  :(

Wedding Bells ...

I made a wedding card back in July for a very special friend's son who just got married.  I draped a lovebird charm connected to a chain over the resin frame and added a wedding dress applique to the card as well.

Life is About Creating Yourself...

Hey Ya's!  It's been quite some time .. and I hope you are all doing very well and had a beautiful Summer!  I can't believe that our 3 months of summer holiday has passed in a blink of an eye.

My Bodhi has started school yesterday .. and gosh .. I missed him terribly.  I'm so used to having him with me all those days over the 3 months .. that it feels a bit lonely and empty without him here.  He came home saying he had a good first day of school .. which of course was a huge relief for me.  So hopefully he'll have another fabulous year at his school.  ;)

I made this card a few weeks ago .. image is Floral Masquerade from Aurora Wings.  I truly enjoyed colouring her and hope you will like her too  :)

I would also like to enter this into the I am Roses Challenge .. "Anything Goes".

Sea Star ...

Can you believe August is a day away?  sigh .. I certainly can't.  Time really does fly away from us doesn't it?

Magic Happens ...

Hey Ya's!  Are you all enjoying you Summer so far?  I hope so!

In the midst of all the hot temperatures .. we had a thunderstorm and hail to bring in some cooler temperatures last week.  Oh what a nice relief that was!  But that was short lived .. as we are now in the 100's once again.  blaugh .. ;)

I finally made a card using a beautiful image called "Flower Ballerina" by Aurora Wings.  Aren't ballerina dancers so graceful?  sigh .. when they dance .. it's like magic right?  Seems like they just float on air .. I love them ..

The Toy Shop ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you are all having a lovely week!

Well, I am surprisingly back for another post .. whaaaat?!  Yup!  I know right?!  hehe!  Well, this is kind of a cheater .. I started working on this a couple months ago, and put it to the side until I was a bit more motivated.  I finally dug it back out and completed it last week .. and here it is .. a 12 x 12 layout.

Seriously, even as adults .. don't you still love going into toy stores?  :)  I sure do .. and I swear I have just as much fun as my little Bodhi looking at everything!  hehe!

To the Beach ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you all are doing very well and enjoying your days!

It is so hot here .. we've already reached up to 114 degrees Fahrenheit .. ugh!  And it's times like these that I wish we had a pool in our own back yard or wish we were back home in Hawaii for a visit!  ;)

A couple months or so ago, I fell in love with Graphic 45 things.  I mean, I've ALWAYS loved G45, but this time I fell hard.  Like .. super hard where I felt like I wanted every single piece of product that they have.  LOL!  What's new about being a crafter right?!  

So one of the papers that I bought was the "By the Sea" collection and here's a couple things I played with for the very first time with Graphic 45:

I have grown to love fussy cutting .. thank you ladies for inspiring me!

There's just something about G45 that makes everything feel so ..... beautifully vintage.  I know this is not my "normal" style .. but gosh ..  thank you so much to the lovely and talented girls Arlene and Tanya for having me fall in love with G45!!!

Memory Lane ...

My Bodhi has started his summer vacation a week and a half ago .. so we've been hanging out and having more time to do things together .. which is always so nice.  He's enjoying not having to get up so early in the mornings .. hehe .. and truthfully .. I'm happy about that too.  ;)

Friends Make the Sun Shine Brighter ...

Hey Ya's!  Hope you're all doing very well and enjoying your week so far!

Bodhi will be out for the Summer in a couple of days .. and he is thrilled!  Seems like each school year goes faster and faster and I've already told my husband that I will be moving out and following Bodhi to whatever college he chooses when he graduates in 10 years.  hahahaha!  ;)  So yes .. my husband is informed way in advance.  lol!  I'm kidding!!!  .. or am I?  ;)

Anywayyyyyy .. I've finally finished a Summer beach card that had been sitting for awhile on my desk .. *deep breath in and a big exhale out* .. hehe ...
